Cosplay Update~

Hello darlings~ 

This journal is just going to be me basically giving a detailed description of what I need to do to finish the cosplays I'm bringing to Nagu-Con 2014! (If any of you were curious.) I'll do them in the order that I'm planning on wearing them.

1) Jack Frost

Alright, so I pretty much don't have anything for this cosplay yet, except for the contacts...but that's okay cause contacts and wigs are usually the most expensive part of a cosplay! ^u^; (*dies*) I need to order the wig online, and I'm planning on ordering a Jett from Arda Wigs (this one here) in a silver color. It should be the perfect length to create the spikes that I need. I'm thankful that although his wig style is slightly more complex, it will be easy to style. I also need to go get a plain white sweatshirt (cause finding the right color I need is EXRUCIATINGLY painful), get some blue dye to get just the right yet frustrating shade of blue. Then I'll go get some glitter/sparkles and glue and create the frosty designs. ^^ Then, I gotta make the pants, which won't be hard to do. I'm going to make it elastic around the waist (so I can avoid putting in a button #lazy #cosplayerproblems) and then make little strips to get the bands around the bottom of the pants. THEN I gotta make the staff, which I plan to get PCV pipe (which will cost me roughly $10 to get) then use papermache/papertowels/hot glue/craftfoam, and paint and glitter to make the designs! Fortunately my grandparents have a table saw, and my grandpa has enough construction knowledge under his belt he'll be able to help me build it! ^^

2) Tony Stark 

So last year, I did his whole Black Sabbath shirt getup, so this time, I'm going to be getting a red dress shirt and a black tie, and gonna wear either dark jeans or black slacks with tennis shoes (cause he rocks it like that). I just gotta trim the wig. Simple enough, no?  

3) Grell Sutcliff

(I'M GOING TO KILL MYSELF BY THE END OF THIS COSPLAY I SWEAR TO ODIN) *cough* OKAY, for starters, I need to get a wig AND contacts...I'm getting a Jareth Long from Arda Wigs (dis one) in the color Apple Red (woot for vibrant colors) and I'm getting Vassen Sweet Eye Green contacts from Pinky Paradise (click it). Curse Grell for a complex eye color!!!! I need to make the gloriously detailed jacket, and the bow tie. I just gotta get fabric for it...that's basically the only thing I have to make for Grell. I am going to get red fake glasses and easily make the lanyard with skulls attached to it. I'm planning on getting some red and black shoes, then some red scissors. To make his teeth, I'm going to get fake clear nails and use a file to get them down to the pointed shape that I need. Then I'll use some sort of glue (that's safe to use in my mouth of course) to attach them to my front teeth.

4) Len Kagamine

YAY CAMELLIA! :3 It's just so pretty~ I am going to get an Inigo wig from Arda Wigs (woot woot) in the light blonde color and then style it pretty easily. I'm thankful the Vocaloids generally have a simple hairstyle.  I have dress pants, and I am going to use my black dress shoes. I just need to go to Good Will and get a button up white t-shirt, then go get some fabric and a fake yellow rose so I can make the rose he carries around. I'm going to use my natural eye color, since my friend cosplaying Rin has the same eye color of light blue as me. So we're not getting contacts.

5) Draco Malfoy

THIS ONE SHALL KILL ME TOO. I have a wig already (THANK ODIN), I just need to trim it so it's shorter on the sides. And I'm going to put the bangs back, too. xXEnergizerBunnyXx and I were originally going to do their quidditch outfits for Nagu Con, but due to money (for her to get other cosplays more important) and for both of us (time management) we decided to just do their normal outfits: a white dress shirt with their respective ties. It'll be a LOT easier for us to do with time and stuff (considering I still have to make Grell's outfit, and the staff for Jack which will take me a while), so we're planning to move it to Sakura, unless plans change. But don't worry! We'll do quidditch eventually!
